A modest Molybdenum Deposit mining operation. The mine features a single vertical shaft. Mining activities occurred during the 1920s and 1930s.

Gold discoveries of 1863 led to the founding of the Galena townsite. A Post Office operated from 1871-1887.

Gold and Silver were first discovered here in the 1870's.
